In the autumn semester 2019, the University of Zurich is offering a new CAS in Asian Business Law. The course is taking place in the framework of the LL.M. program International Businesss Law and includes the following two modules which will be conducted in English:
- Module 1 deals with basic questions of cross-border issues when dealing with Asia. Beside economic and legal challenges, issues relating to the protection of investements and cross-border finance as well as the importance of free trade agreements are discussed. Furthermore, the "One Belt One Road initiative" and possible investment and trading structures will be examined.
- Module 2 deals with country-specific legal aspects of trade and investement. The focus will be on the following countries: China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Malaysia and Vietnam.
