didactica – continuing education in teaching and learning at UZH and ETH Zurich

The «didactica» program is intended for all staff members and lecturers involved in teaching at the ETH Zurich and University of Zurich. It makes a specific contribution to the continued development of comprehensive teaching proficiency at all stages and levels of the academic career by covering all important topics of higher education. The variety of topics is based on a model of thematic fields in higher education. Courses which pay particular attention to the specific aspects and traditions of selected disciplines are referred to accordingly.

All courses not only provide information but also encourage the active acquisition and implementation of the knowledge gained. Therefore, main focus is on critical and discursive reflection as well as on how to apply and utilize the knowledge gained in the participants’ own teaching.
