Strategic Goals

Based on the previous strategy from 2010 to 2012, the Commission for Continuing Education developed new strategic goals for the 2013 to 2020 period in its “Strategische Ziele für die Weiterbildung an der UZH 2013-2020” document. These goals were approved by the Extended Executive Board of the University in April 2013 and acknowledged with approval by the Board of the University in May 2013.

UZH’s aim in offering continuing education is to make a material contribution to lifelong learning, especially for academics. In this way, UZH also promotes the transfer of knowledge between academia and professional practice.

Strategic Goals for Continuing Education at UZH 2013-2020

Aim 1: Lifelong Learning

UZH makes a material contribution to lifelong learning and promotes the transfer of knowledge between academia and professional practice. UZH in this way also contributes to maintaining a dialogue with society.

 

Aim 2: Faculty Responsibility

UZH’s continuing education programs are based on the strategic objectives of the faculties. The programs are clearly defined throughout the University, visible to the general public and developed on an ongoing basis.

 

Aim 3: Quality Assurance

UZH’s continuing education programs meet high quality standards. Quality assurance is the shared responsibility of program management, faculties and the Executive Board of the University

 

Aim 4: Joint Programs

UZH has continuing education agreements with partner institutions that strengthen UZH’s standing in the area of continuing education.

 

Aim 5: Organization

The organizational structure of UZH’s continuing education provision is assessed and developed on an ongoing basis.
