Beschreibung

The LL.M. program consists of 12 modules à 6 ECTS plus MA thesis à 8 ECTS and is conducted on a part-time basis. In order to obtain the LL.M. title, all 12 modules plus an MA thesis must be successfully completed. Attendance of courses is mandatory.

The first four general modules build the foundations of the program: foundations of financial systems and their regulation, institutional aspects of EU financial regulation, EU banking regulation and EU capital markets regulation.

The next six modules form the core of the program: ESG in the financial system, central banking policies, digital finance law, specific aspects of EU banking regulation, rules of conduct in capital markets, as well as comparative aspects in a global context.

In the second year, two out of the three electives offered have to be chosen (international bank accounting and auditing, EU insurance regulation, and EU regulation of financial groups), and the students will have to complete an MA thesis.
