Certificate of Advanced Studies UZH in Forensic Imaging and Virtopsy (10 ECTS Credits) |
Target Audience |
Students have a Master’s degree in medicine from an accredited university and certification as a specialist in forensic medicine or radiology. In exceptional cases, persons with a Bachelor’s degree in a medical field from an accredited university and several years of work experience in radiology, or persons with an equivalent qualification may be admitted to the program. |
Fees |
CHF 10'500.– for all compulsory modules (1–3), including: – Virtopsy Basic (CHF 1'300.–) – Advanced Course (CHF 1'900.–) – Practical Course (CHF 7'300.–) – materials and examination fees Not included are traveling costs, food and housing. Visit of individual modules is possible, incrementally for the compulsory modules. |

Description |
The CAS Forensic Imaging and Virtopsy provides theoretical knowledge and practical skills in forensic imaging, with a particular focus on the interpretation and reporting of post-mortem CT. It also provides an overview of post-mortem MRI, 3D surface documentation, clinical forensic imaging, as well as emerging techniques and concepts. The program is structured into three modules, all of which are required to obtain the certificate: – Module 1: Virtopsy Basic Course – Module 2: Virtopsy Advanced Course – Module 3: Virtopsy Practical Course |
